Malbork Castle – once the capital of the Teutonic Knights, the biggest medieval castle in Europe, located by the Nogat river and designed with attention to detail. It consists of three separate castles with several subdivisions and numerous layers of defensive wall.

Castle of Warmian Bishops in Lidzbark Warmiński – impressive castle with original, two levels of cloisters – the only historical cloisters in Poland which have not architecturally changed.
